Quinceañera Photography at Edwards Mansion
Redlands · San Bernardino County · Quinceañeras · Weddings · Portraits
Edwards Mansion is a Victorian garden estate on the edge of Redlands, with gazebos, citrus trees, and lawns that hold soft light for most of the day. It’s a favorite of ours for portraits and first looks, and it photographs beautifully for full celebrations too.
What to know about shooting at Edwards Mansion
- The gazebos give reliable open shade, which means flattering portrait light even in the harsh middle of the day.
- The citrus trees and garden paths are at their best in the last hour before sunset, when the light turns warm and comes in low.
- The mansion’s Victorian facade works as a backdrop across the whole afternoon; we usually save the wider architectural frames for golden hour.
If your ceremony or reception is here, set aside 30–40 minutes for portraits on the grounds; the gardens reward a slow walk. For first looks, the garden paths give you privacy before the day begins.
Questions about Edwards Mansion
Have you photographed at Edwards Mansion before?
It’s one of our favorite spots in Redlands for portraits and first looks, and it’s minutes from our studio. We know where the light lands through the day and where the quiet corners are.
How much portrait time should we plan at the venue?
Thirty to forty minutes is comfortable for couple or family portraits on the grounds without rushing. We’ll build it into your day’s timeline so it never feels like leaving the party.
Do we book the venue or the photographer first?
Venue first, ideally; your date has to exist before we can hold it. But if you’re still deciding between venues, we’re happy to talk through how each one photographs.
